New Column: Fun Dining

If there's one thing you have to know about my family is that we are all extreme foodies, and we are generally happy people. Okay, two things. We love to cook and eat even at the most nightly hours. It has almost become a weekly habit. Hence, my uncle and one of my cousins thought of a gimmick we could do - each of us will prepare a dish from different cuisines every week. Italian, American, Spanish, Vietnamese, Japanese, you name it! But of course, we still don't know how to cook anything from certain cuisines and that is why we have this - to challenge ourselves and to have fun while staying classy.

I don't know if last night counts but my cousin cooked the most succulent steak ever. I have had many steaks in my life but nothing as tender as that. I don't know how he does it..

My uncle prepared a Lemon Agave Vinaigrette. We had to improvise since we didn't have Balsamic Vinegar and boy, am I glad we didn't have Balsamic. The Lemon Agave was so good. (holla if you want the recipe)

Trying to be fancy schmancy @ 11pm

My cousin also made apple crumble which was also superb, by the way.

Considering my cousin Mika and I were just talking about KPop and boy bands such as One Direction (I am not a fan of either..I just happen to know a little about them :-" ) and didn't cook, I think I should be up for next week.

So because of this awesomeness my family came up with, I thought I'd blog about it. And I also thought of coming up with daily somethings to write about. Anyway, that's still in progress...

Last night was fun. Thanks Mako for the awesome meal!
